Welcome to the Tek-Gnostics expeditionary base camp. It is most
excellent that you have arrived at our departure point. Here is where
the quest into the unknown begins. The nature of our expedition is
that of a competition amongst and between our participants. The
challenge lies in the solving of a series of increasingly ingenious
puzzles... puzzles that you must solve in order to advance. This
contest becomes a race to be the first to solve each puzzle, thereby
gaining advantage in progressing to the next step (level) of the
journey. While at our base camp, be sure to "provision up" by fully
researching the nature... and requirements of our adventure, indicated
below...
 As you have
found the portal that brought you to this place, you have a sense of how
to proceed. At the beginning of each leg of our expedition, you will be
required to: Answer a question... solve a riddle... find a hidden
hyperlink... navigate to a specific website (and return with proof of
your having been there)... etc. The requirements of each new puzzle will
be presented to you upon successful completion of the previous puzzle.
You may be required to e-mail the answer to your current puzzle in order
to proceed, or the answer may be on the discovered web-page that you
uncovered during your journey. The riddles... and solutions will vary.
Each successive puzzle will be more challenging and more intriguing than
the last.
As you progress through the journey, the solving of
certain riddles will earn the traveler specific rewards. In order to be eligible to receive a reward, each
participant must be a member of our general guild (not to be confused
with "Advanced Guild Membership"). Access to membership is found
here. The rules and rewards of each challenge
will be identified at the beginning of each leg of your journey. Hints
and clues to specific challenges may be posted on our members
bulletin board (found at the guild site) from time to time. You may also
e-mail for help if you get stuck on a particular puzzle.
The Ultimate Question
The essential goal of our expedition is to have fun,
learn a thing or two, and... answer humanity's ultimate question... What
is God? There are of course a series of follow-up questions... dependant
upon one's customs and culture... however we will concentrate on one
ultimate question at a time. If you, dear traveler, make it to the end
of our journey... we will definitively and conclusively answer
this ultimate question... the only question worth asking.
We offer this one caution: You may not like the answer.
Oh... one
more thing... the answer is not 42... we promise.
