Illuminati
is a Greek word meaning Illumination... a name given to
those who submitted to Christian baptism. Those who were
baptized were called Illuminati or Illuminated /
Enlightened Ones by the Ante-Nicene clergy, on the
assumption that those who were instructed for baptism in the
Apostolic faith had an enlightened understanding. The Alumbrados,
a mystical 16th-century Spanish sect, were among the societies
that subsequently adopted the name
Illuminati.
Since Illuminati
literally means 'enlightened ones' in Latin, it is natural that
several unrelated historical groups have identified themselves
as Illuminati. Often, this was due to claims of possessing
gnostic texts or other arcane information not generally
available.
The designation illuminati was also in use
from the 14th century by the Brethren of the Free Spirit, and in
the 15th century was assumed by other enthusiasts who claimed
that the illuminating light came, not by being communicated from
an authoritative but secret source, but from within, the result
of exalted consciousness, or "enlightenment".

The Ancient Illuminated Seers of the
Eschaton can be traced back (overtly) almost a thousand years. We
are the "Real" Illuminati... accept no substitutions!
We have agents in every country, every county, every municipality
on this tattered old planet! We are the originators of the
"Babylon System". We built the Churches and
Universities. It was our operatives who first suggested the
"top down" approach to management. We turned the
concept of "God" backward to read "dog" (eat
dog). Everything that the people despise about this patriarchal,
not enough to go around, emotionless economic nightmare we call
society has been put in place by us to serve our needs.
Things don't seem fair? They're not.
Sure the world has enough natural resources for everyone to live
comfortably. Sure our technology is capable of supporting all of
humanity without requiring some of our children to go to sleep
hungry. Sure we could all live like kings. But if we allowed that
to happen, the people would be too independent. Independent
people think for themselves. If everybody started thinking for
themselves, then where would we be?
Wheels within Wheels
"Briefly, the background of
the Bavarian Illuminati puzzle is this. On May 1, 1776, in Bavaria, Dr.
Adam Weishaupt, a professor of Canon Law at Ingolstadt University and a
former Jesuit, formed a secret society called the Order of the
Illuminati within the existing Masonic lodges of Germany. Since Masonry
is itself a secret society, the Illuminati was a secret society within a
secret society, a mystery inside a mystery, so to say. |

In 1785 the
Illuminati were suppressed by the Bavarian government for
allegedly plotting to overthrow all the kings in Europe and
the Pope to boot. This much is generally agreed upon by all
historians. Everything else is a matter of heated, and
sometimes fetid, controversy.
It has been
claimed that Dr. Weishaupt was an atheist, a Cabalistic
magician, a rationalist, a mystic; a democrat, a socialist,
an anarchist, a fascist; a Machiavellian amoralist, an
alchemist, a totalitarian and an "enthusiastic
philanthropist." (The last was the verdict of Thomas
Jefferson, by the way.) The Illuminati have also been
credited with managing the French and American revolutions
behind the scenes, taking over the world, being the brains
behind Communism, continuing underground up to the 1970s,
secretly worshipping the Devil, and mopery with intent to
gawk. Some claim that Weishaupt didn't even invent the
Illuminati, but only revived it.
The Order of
Illuminati has been traced back to the Knights Templar, to
the Greek and Gnostic initiatory cults, to Egypt, even to
Atlantis. The one safe generalization one can make is that
Weishaupt's intent to maintain secrecy has worked; no two
students of Illuminology have ever agreed totally about what
the "inner secret" or purpose of the Order actually was (or
is).
There is endless
room for spooky speculation, and for pedantic paranoia, once
one really gets into the literature of the subject; and
there has been a wave of sensational "ex-poses" of the
Illuminati every generation since 1776. If you were to
believe all this sensational literature, the damned Bavarian
conspirators were responsible for everything wrong with the
world, including the energy crises and the fact that you
can't even get a plumber on weekends."

The Eye Within the Pyramid
Few symbols have triggered as much controversy in contemporary
culture as the “all seeing eye” within the triangle or pyramid. The
occult symbolism of this enigmatic emblem has been a great catalyst for
philosophical, religious and political debate. Conspiracy theorists (and
sometimes religious intolerants) like to point to the "Eye in the
Pyramid" in the Great Seal of the United States and on the U. S. Dollar
Bill as being evidence of some vast conspiracy.

The Illuminati and the
Media
There are those who believe that the
media is controlled by the A.I.S.E. to help guide popular opinion
(if not mass consciousness). The film industry in particular is
ripe with thinly veiled allusions to the illuminati. Movies such as
"Tomb Raider" and "Conspiracy Theory" have featured illuminati
like organizations in various plot-scenarios of mass population control.
One particularly creative example is the 1999 sci-fi classic "Matrix"
conceived and directed by the now infamous Wachowski Brothers. The notion that
the eschaton could be realized by a pervasive illuminoid artificial intelligence
via virtual reality begs the question... who programmed the AI?
It has
been argued that these entertainment devices have been
carefully sculpted to generate a inevitable, if not passive response to the
possibility of the so called "New World Order".
In another classic sci-fi movie
"Contact", the quirky billionaire character portrayed
by John Hurt has illuminati written all over him. Hurt's role
walks a razor's edge between benevolence and maniacalism. Was it
he who created the whole extra-terrestrial plot? Did he play one
last joke on humanity? Or was he a pawn, pointing to the real
powers that be? These questions, left purposefully unresolved,
help make Contact a delightful piece of propaganda.
The people who control mass media
control public opinion. Imagine owning all the networks and
newspapers in the United States. With that kind of information
control, what is reported is believed. This is why the Illuminati
must gain control of the world wide web. This amount of personal
power over information must not be tolerated. We own TV., news
print, publishing houses, etc. We will soon have the internet in
our clutches as well. With Illuminati fronts like MS-NBC,
complete internet domination is expected in the very near future.
